Another in the Adventures in Subduing the Demons character PVs is out in the form of a Quanxi character PV.
The donghua (aka 山海伏魔录, which roughly translates to The Mountain and Sea Demon Slayer Chronicle) has been releasing a slew of trailers and character PVs in the last couple of weeks, with Quan Xi’s PV just the latest after those for Jiang Hao, Yue Ying and the Ghost Witch.
From the new PV, it appears Quan Xi is the powerful leader of the Canine Kingdom as she shows she has an ability called ‘Divine Comet Strike’, and then warns nobody will be allowed to sow unrest in her kingdom as nobody in the Panhu Palace can defeat her.
The Quan Xi character PV ends with the Canine Kingdom’s leader saying to her soldiers:
People of the Canine Kingdom, heed my command!
What to expect with Adventures of Subduing the Demons
The Chinese animated series combines elements of time travel, fantasy, and adventure with advanced 3D production techniques to offer what trailers appear to show is a truly unique donghua.
One that features superb animation, impressive scene designs and some interesting light effects.
Its plot goes like this:
In an accident, while doing some research about his father’s disappearance, modern-day young man Jiang Hao is transported to the prehistoric era, and is soon embarking on a thrilling adventure.
In this unfamiliar world, Jiang Hao must not only face fierce beasts and unknown dangers but also search for his missing father.
Various clues suggest that his father has also arrived in this world, likely to explore the mysteries of the vanished ancient civilization, possibly driven by an archaeological quest.
In addition to its captivating storyline, Adventures in Subduing the Demons seems to excels in character modeling.
The trailers and PVs released so far show characters with rich and varied facial expressions that make it feel as though you can truly experience their emotions.
The character models of the female characters, in particular, are both beautiful and distinctive, and are likely to be a major pull for donghua fans.
