I love Queen Elizabeth. She’s part of what makes me proud to be British. So I closely follow what she does and where she goes. She is always beautifully clothed on every state visit, of course, and wears the most stunning hats, but no more so than this week during her visit to Northern Ireland.
On the second day of her three-day tour, Queen Elizabeth visited the set of ‘Game of Thrones’ and Belfast’s Crumlin Road Jail. During the Troubles, hundreds of loyalists and republican prisoners were housed here due to their opposition to the presence of British troops. Nowadays, it’s a museum and a whiskey distillery.
The Queen wore a gorgeous lemon yellow coat and matching hat for her morning engagements which, when she spoke at a luncheon at Belfast City Hall later in the day, she took off to reveal a lovely lemon yellow and white floral dress underneath.
Like I said, she always looks amazing, but she really outdid herself this time. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
