The ever fabulous Reese Witherspoon was on Twitter yesterday promoting her friend’s new book. The book? ‘It’s What I Do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War‘ by photojournalist Lynsey Addario. The book has just been released by Penguin Press and, I have to say, looks like a very good read.
‘It’s What I Do‘ covers the last 10 years of Lynsey Addario’s life and career, as she heads to some of the world’s most dangerous war zones. Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria.
Along the way, Addario manages to do just as well, if not better, than the men in the mostly ‘old boys club’ of war photojournalists, eventually being awarded a MacArthur Genius Grant, and a Pulitzer Prize.
You can buy ‘It’s What I Do‘ by Lynsey Addario at most of the major online bookshops. Something I’m going to do whether Reese Witherspoon recommended it or not, as I love reading books by strong, ambitious women. (But thanks, Reese, anyway).
