Rent-A-Girlfriend anime’s Mami Nanami may look innocent, but she can be a devil

Mami Nanami is an extremely cute blonde girl, who looks sweet but has a dark side

The second character trailer from the upcoming anime series Rent-A-Girlfriend was released today.

This one shows Mami Nanami, who is just as cute and adorable as main character Chizuru Mizuhara, whose trailer we got to see last week.

Mami Nanami, of course, is the girl protagonist Kazuya confesses his love to, and the one that ultimately turns him down.

This catapults him into the rent-a-girfriend world. A world that eventually brings main girl Chizuru into Kazuya’s life as the ‘girlfriend’ he decides to rent.

Of course, even though Mami doesn’t want him for herself, it seems she doesn’t want other girls to have him either. That’s why, as soon as she finds out Kazuya may be dating or interested in another girl, she does everything she can to break them apart.

Yes, she may look angelic, sweet and very girly, especially in the way she dresses, but believe me, Mami Nanami has a dark side Kazuya just might not want to mess with.

This second in four planned Rent-A-Girlfriend character trailers also came with an adorable key visual of Mami Nanami at the beach in a Stars and Stripes bikini and zippered sweatshirt.

The new Rent-A-Girlfriend anime is being directed by Kazuomi Koga. Character designs are by Kanna Hirayama and series composition is being carried out by Mitsutaka Hirota.

Rent-A-Girfriend is currently due for a July 2020 release on both MBS and TBS in Japan.

Those big blue angelic eyes hide a girl who is a bit of a devil when it comes to involving herself in Kazuya’s life.

No word yet on who will be streaming the 12-episode anime series in the west though, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed it will be easily accessible Crunchyroll. That way the most people will be able to watch it.

We will keep you posted as more details about its western release are announced.

Edit: Yep, it’s Crunchyroll — and you can watch the first couple of episodes there now.
