Resident Playbook EP12 ends K-drama with its best ratings – #1 show of the day on cable
The medical-themed tvN drama Resident Playbook, Episode 12 ended the Korean series’ run on Sunday night with the best ratings of its entire run.
Data via Nielsen Korea shows Resident Playbook, Episode 12 grabbed 8.14 percent of the nationwide audience share last night — a big increase from its penultimate episode’s 6.62 percent on Saturday night.
Viewers in Seoul also gave the tvN drama a big sendoff with its final episode earning 8.63 percent — a nice increase from Episode 11’s already excellent audience share of 7.62 percent and, again, the Korean drama’s highest rating in that region for its entire run.
The drama’s final episode also ended up being the #1 most-watched show on cable TV for all of Sunday.
Congratulations to the director, cast and crew for earning solid ratings throughout, and for going out with a bang.
International ratings also increase
While it is no secret Resident Playbook is still performing well on Netflix, where it is currently sitting at #6 on the platform’s Top 10 Non-English TV Series chart, the Korean drama is also being received extremely well with viewers using other drama-related sites.
Folks on My Drama List, for instance, have actually caused that site’s ratings for Resident Playbook to rise from last week’s 8.5 out of 10 to today’s 8.7 out of 10 after Episode 12 aired last night.
As anything beyond about an 8.1 on the platform is very high, an 8.7 out of 10 generally means almost everyone that watched it loved it.
Just ignore the low 7.9 rating on IMDB, however, as that site, chock full of trolls and without any type of moderation from its admin, has not been remotely reliable for years.
Resident Playbook stars Go Youn Jung, Shin Shi Ah, Han Ye Ji, Kang You Seok, and Jung Joon Won.
The Korean drama aired from April 12th, 2025 to May 18th, 2025, and so now has all 12 episodes streaming on Netflix internationally. Enjoy!
