It’s a sign of how much the world has changed in recent years when someone like actor Robert Downey Jr. would announce on Twitter that his wife is expecting a baby. After all, you’d expect a pregnancy announcement to maybe be a bit more formal than a quick ‘tweet’.
But that’s just what happened yesterday when Downey Jr. left a very short tweet on his Twitter account simply stating the facts, ma’am. “Yo. Susan. Me. Baby. Girl. November. Scorpio?”
Wonder how long it took him to figure out that type of brevity and still make the message understandable?
Then again, with only 140 characters available on Twitter, even celebrity pregnancy announcements are cut short and, after all, it’s not really the message vehicle that’s important, its the message itself.
All I can say is “Congratulations” to Robert Downey Jr and his lovely wife Susan.
This little girl will be the second child for both of them as they already have a two-year-old son (Downey Jr. also has an adult son from a previous marriage), so I’m sure they’re both absolutely thrilled.
