Romance in the House Ep 2 ratings rise – K-drama #1 in its time slot

New JTBC drama Romance in the House, Episode 2 aired last night to a very nice ratings rise. Both from viewers nationwide and those in Seoul.

The nationwide rating for the Korean family melodrama was 5.17 percent, which was a solid increase from Episode 1’s audience share of 4.78 percent.

Romance in the House, Episode 2 earned 5.01 percent of the audience share in Seoul, which is more than half a point increase over the K-drama’s first episode’s rating of 4.49 percent.

The JTBC drama was also the #1 show in its time slot in both regions.

Ratings for Romance in the House on international platforms

Meanwhile, Romance in the House is being rated low on My Drama List with just a 7.7 out of 10.

But… that is par for the course from users on that site. Many of whom only rate a drama high if it features their favorite idol actor and he gets most of the screen time.

In other words, wait for a couple more episodes to be released before you can take that site’s rating as accurate.

Over on IMDB, the drama is being rated a higher 8.0 out of 10.

Romance in the House stars Ji Jin Hee, Kim Ji Soo, Son Na Eun and Choi Min Ho.

It airs on JTBC in South Korea every Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 (KST), with Netflix streaming the drama for its international subscribers.

Netflix will also release its streaming data up to Sunday, August 11th tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see if Romance in the House hits their Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows chart, as many K-dramas have done before.

If Flix Patrol is correct with its assessment of the Netflix data showing Romance in the House‘s excellent performance on the streaming platform so far, it definitely will.
