Masakazu Fukatsu directed UNISON SQUARE GARDEN’S ‘Ikenai Fool Logic‘ music video
The Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions opening theme song has received its official music video, and it is a video made up of cool stop motion and a banger of a rock track.
The video features Japanese pop rock band UNISON SQUARE GARDEN’s ‘Ikenai Fool Logic‘ (いけない fool logic), with the band’s members both performing the song, and also filmed in stop motion as they move around an eccentrically-decorated apartment and the building’s corridors.
Throw in a human-sized White Rabbit in a tuxedo who, with his stopwatch, is clearly from Alice in Wonderland, and the Masakazu Fukatsu-directed ‘Ikenai Fool Logic‘ music video is just about as strange as they get.
Off down the rabbit hole of weirdness, you might say.
The Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions opening theme song that musically illustrates the video is also fast-paced, upbeat, and catchy — one whose melody worms its way into your brain in seconds — and a perfect song for the quirkiness of this very fun new anime.
UNISON SQUARE GARDEN’s ‘Ikenai Fool Logic‘ is the indie band’s 19th single, and is their first new song released this year.
‘Ikenai Fool Logic‘ was officially released on September 27th, and quickly made it to #5 on the Oricon Singles Chart (Daily edition) so, yep, fans love it.
What is the Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions anime about?
The just released comedy mystery anime is based on the hit manga series Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective by Akira Amano.
Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions tells the story of former detective Ron Kamonohashi who, after a spate of unfortunate incidences with criminals he catches, stops detecting and becomes a ‘hikikomori’ or recluse.

That is until the worst officer on the Metropolitan Police Department’s investigative team, Totomaru Isshiki, visits Kamonohashi five years into his self-imposed removal from society and asks for his help on a case.
Kamonohashi soon realizes, while he turned down other detectives who wanted to work with him, Totomaru (henceforth known as ‘Toto’) has something about him that means the two men will get along well together.
Especially as it appears Toto may be able to undo any harm Kamonohashi causes as he finds the criminals other detectives cannot.
Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions premiered on October 2nd, with the soon-to-be 13 episode anime currently streaming via Crunchyroll.
