Singer Jessica Simpson married retired NFL player Eric Johnson on July 5th. The couple had been together for four years and have two children, but that didn’t stop Jessica wanting a dream designer wedding dress and having the incredible Carolina Herrera design it for her.
The dress was champagne and embroidered in gold, but still quite simple and elegant in its silhouette and suiting Jessica’s newly-trim figure perfectly.
In the People magazine video below, watch Jessica Simpson talk to Carolina Herrera about her inspirations for her dress – inspirations like a painting of Austria’s Empress Sisi, luxurious embroidery, stars, pearls and wheat – and then you’ll understand how it came out so beautifully.
Jessica Simpson’s Carolina Herrera wedding dress was not the only thing designed by the renowned designer. She also created the clothes Jessica’s two children wore.
Considering they were given a standing ovation when they walked down the aisle ahead of the bride, she obviously did an amazing job.
