Incredibly cute new Aishia character art has been released for the upcoming anime Seirei Gensouki 2.
The second season of the hit action fantasy anime is due to premiere in October, 2024, and the romantic-looking Aishia character art was released on the anime’s official X account earlier today.
Along with sweet Aishia dressed in a gorgeously romantic and very floaty dress and short boots, an interview with her voice actress Yuki Kuwahara in Animate Times was also linked to.
In it, Kuwahara mentions she is thrilled to be voicing Aishia for a second season.
Especially as, her first season voice work was during the Covid restrictions, and so she couldn’t work alongside the other voice actors like she would normally be able to do.
The 12-episode first season of Seirei Gensouki premiered on July 6th, 2021 and ran until September 21st, 2021.
It is based on the very popular light novel series written by Yuri Kitayama and illustrated by Riv.
The series is published in English via J-Novel Club, who currently has 25 volumes out.
They describe the Seirei Gensouki plot like this:
Meet Rio: a callous orphaned boy living in the slums. At only 7-years-old, he realizes he’s actually the reincarnation of Haruto Amakawa, a Japanese university student with a tragic past.
While still reeling from this shocking epiphany, Rio also comes to learn that he possesses extremely potent magical abilities and uses his new powers to solve the kidnapping case of a little girl.
His good deed is acknowledged, and he’s rewarded by being enrolled into… a prestigious academy for noble children…?
And yes, it is definitely one of the more interesting isekai anime to be released in the last few years.
The Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles 2 anime series is chief directed by Osamu Yamasaki (Hakuouki), with Hiroshi Kubo directing the second season.
Kyouko Yufu is back designing the characters, and with Osamu Yamasaki also in charge of series composition and scripts.
Both TMS Entertainment and WAO World are in charge of anime production.
Seirei Gensouki is due to stream via Crunchyroll when it premieres in October. Until then, enjoy the beautiful Aishia character design — because doesn’t she look lovely?
