Simon The Sorcerer: 20th Anniversary Edition: Awesome Android App for Adventure Gamers

Simon The Sorcerer: 20th Anniversary Edition for Android is cool for adventure gamers

Not too long ago, I replayed the classic adventure game ‘Simon The Sorcerer’ and had a blast doing it. Then, browsing through Google Play one day last week, I came across Simon The Sorcerer: 20th Anniversary Edition, an Android app of the original adventure game that recently came out,  and, yes, I thought I’d died and gone to gamer heaven.

Simon The Sorcerer: 20th Anniversary Edition is a new app on Google Play that is an updated version of the original classic game. While, sure, it still keeps what made the original Simon The Sorcerer so much fun, this newer version for Android is just as cool in different ways.

The first thing I noticed upon firing up the game was how even more fabulous the soundtrack is. Originally just an 8-bit soundtrack, which was great in its day, the Simon The Sorcerer: 20th Anniversary Edition has a remastered soundtrack that’s now in stereo and it’s awesome.

Next, the HD graphics are gorgeous. Now, I loved the graphics of the original Simon The Sorcerer and thought they were beautiful, but even they can’t compare to these.

What’s even cooler, though, is if you decide you don’t like this new remastered version, or you just want to refresh your memory as to what the original game looked and sounded like, you can. That’s because the Simon The Sorcerer: 20th Anniversary Edition app has retro settings that put your game back to its original state. Old graphics, old soundtrack and old controls. How awesome is that?

You can buy Simon The Sorcerer: 20th Anniversary Edition for Android at Google Play using the link above.

Or, if you prefer to play your classic adventure games on PC, don’t forget you can still buy the classic game on GOG.
