Skyrim Mod: Wintersun – Faiths of Skyrim allows worship of more than 50 gods granting powers and buffs

With The Elder Scrolls 6 release date seeming like something that may never happen, fans of the action RPG series are replaying Skyrim in droves.

In fact, between 8 million and 13 million people still play Skyrim every month in 2019, with the highest number of over 19 million back in January.

That is why Skyrim Mods like Wintersun — Faiths of Skyrim are still so popular.

So much so, the British YouTube vloggers Brodual are still going strong, with a recent upload of yet another superb Skyrim mod.

This awesome mod is called Wintersun — Faiths of Skyrim, and it adds religion and worship to the iconic game.

It also allows players to meditate, pray at shrines and to eventually be granted divine powers from the deity of their choice if they worship them well enough.

Rewards include both new powers and buffs.

Deities not only include the Nine Divines and the Daedric Prines, but there are also opportunities to worship other deities with more than 50 in total.

How to worship deities through Wintersun — Faiths of Skyrim

Your first opportunity to worship a deity in Skyrim kicks off either after you escape Helgen, or at whatever start location you begin the game at if you are using another mod.

The options that you will be given for your starting religion depend on the race you have chosen. Other gods can only be followed after you complete certain quests.

It is up to you whether you choose a religion at the beginning, or if you choose one and then change it later, as that is possible to. To do so, you just need to activate one of the shrines and follow the deity you have chosen.

Once you are a follower of a particular god, you will need to pray, worship and to follow the tenets of that particular religion.

Some gods demand you pray in certain ways and at certain times, while others do not mandate how or when you pray.

Of course, it is worth looking into this before you choose a god, so you are not stuck with one that is too demanding.

Once you gain enough favor with your god, you will then become a devotee and will be granted additional powers and buffs.
