David Letterman certainly wanted to hear soul band St Paul and The Broken Bones sing, if his introduction of the band singing ‘Grass Is Always Greener’ on the Late Show with David Letterman this week was anything to go by.
Then again, I am not surprised as, man, are they good live.
St Paul and The Broken Bones, by the way, are a relatively new act, in that they have only been together for two years, and they just have one album out.
But the sounds they produce make it seem like they must have been together for years. Paul Janeway is the lead singer of the band and, man, what an amazing voice that man has!
The band’s debut album is called ‘Half the City’, and it hit #3 on iTunes Top Albums charts soon after its release. ‘Grass Is Always Greener‘ is from that album.
Listen to St Paul and The Broken Bones singing ‘Grass Is Greener‘ live on Letterman below. Pretty darned awesome.
As for ‘Half the City‘, you can currently pick it up on all major digital music sites.
