Deaf Grandpa paints, Granny Si destroys her enemies as Qin Mu’er and Ling Yuxiu look on
Absolutely stunning wallpapers from the fantasy donghua Tales of Herding Gods (牧神记 or Mushen Ji) have been released on the Chinese anime’s official Weibo account almost since it began airing, with new ones being uploaded every couple of weeks.
The latest came out today and are Tales of Herding Gods, Episodes 22 and 23 wallpapers featuring scenes specifically from the two latest episodes.
This time there are four of the main characters on the mobile and desktop wallpapers — as you might expect, the first two are of protagonist Qin Mu’er, who actually didn’t appear much in Episode 23, with the next being of the very lovely Ling Yuxiu who has also been appearing more and more in the last two episodes. (see wallpapers below)
They join the also recently released wallpapers of Granny Si as her gorgeous true self, and others.
Deaf Grandpa also joins the group, but not as his usual older self.
Instead, we get Deaf Grandpa wallpapers of the powerful “artist” from when he was a young man, and from his real identity — the Crown Prince of Tiantu Kingdom.
The man who can create the eighteen hell paintings, including The Hundred Demons Painting he paints in Episode 23 to take down the Yankang Nation forces as they march (and fly) towards the Daxu (ie: The Great Ruins).
The final two wallpapers are of another of Qin Mu’er’s grandparents, and the one you would probably expect.
This time, Granny Si, the holder of the Demon Bible — the younger version of herself we have all fallen in love with. Not only for her incredible beauty, but because she can use her read threads to easily annihilate just about any enemy she takes on.
Along with the nine Tales of Herding Gods, Episodes 22 and 23 wallpapers, the donghua’s Weibo account also commented:
From Si Youyou wielding the sacred tome against heroes, to Deaf Grandpa holding his brush to halt an army—Qin Mu and Ling Yuxiu also grow through the trials of war.
A breathtaking battle of wits unfolds in the Great Ruins!
Download all nine of the latest wallpapers in full-size and gorgeous resolution via the Chinese anime’s official Weibo account.

Episode 23 will then become available as a free watch for everyone next week, when Episode 24 of the donghua hits the channel.
