Welsh actor Taron Egerton was on his first American talk show this week and he chose a good one. The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Egerton was on Ellen along with fellow actor Hugh Jackman to promote their new movie Eddie the Eagle, a true story about the first British skier to ever represent the U.K. in ski jumping at the Olympic Games.
But what Ellen was just as interested in when it came to Taron Egerton is where in Wales he is actually from. As it turns out Egerton is from Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, otherwise known as Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch — a town with the second longest place name in the world.
And, yes, Egerton speaks fluent Welsh and, yes, he can pronounce Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch perfectly too.
