Tastefully Yours, EP1 grabs solid ratings – international viewers overwhelmingly positive so far

New ENA drama Tastefully Yours, Episode 1, “A Taste of Familiarity” kicked off last night to solid ratings for a first episode airing on ENA.

Its ratings, both nationwide and in Seoul, were also similar to the first episodes of previous dramas in the same time slot — Namib and Mother and Mom — both of which went on to have great runs.

The official ratings for Tastefully Yours, Episode 1 then were 1.59 percent nationwide, and 1.62 percent in Seoul. Those viewership numbers also placed the Korean romantic comedy in 2nd and 3rd place in its time slot respectively.

Overall, though, the Korean drama is much more likely to get most of its attention via Netflix, where it is streaming internationally.

It’s just a pity it will only run for 10 episodes as, just like Second Shot at Love, which also premiered last night, the first episode was superb.

1st episode was cute! I was craving an enemies-to-lover trope and this corporate-money-hustling-arrogant ML and small-town-passionate-sassy-chef FL keeps me intrigued.

I love KHN’s (Kang Ha Neul) take on this annoyingly jerky character — I’m sure he was cringing at himself the whole time he was acting. This is the 1st time I’ve seen GMS’s (Go Min Si) acting and she’s fitting the role so far. Looking forward to more episodes.

Tastefully Yours stars Kang Ha Neul, Go Min Si, Kim Shin Rok and Yoo Su Bin. Its 10-episodes run through June 10th.

The Korean drama’s next episode airs tonight on ENA, and on Netflix, where it is streaming internationally.
