Orange is the New Black’s Taylor Schilling is on the cover of July’s Allure magazine and she looks amazing. What’s even more amazing, however, is how she talks about body image and the way she views her own beauty.
In the Allure magazine interview, Schilling opens up about having horrendous teenage years and says her experience was very ‘painful’. She also proves, however, that she’s long since passed that and now views beauty and appearance as nothing more than inconsequential – considering what other things about herself and others are much more important.
As she told Allure, : “I don’t feel bound by my face or my body. I don’t feel like that’s the biggest gift I have to offer the world. I feel like there are more parts of me to offer than that.”
Schilling also talks about acting in Orange is the New Black and how much she loves it because, due to the show’s prison setting, there’s no need to worry about how she looks or the clothing she wears.
You can find out more about Taylor Schilling in July’s Allure magazine, which will hit newsstands on June 30th.
