Four episodes left and The Art of Negotiation is still climbing new heights
With just four episodes of the Korean crime drama left to air, The Art of Negotiation, Episode 8 hit an all-time high in its personal ratings last night.
According to the latest data via Nielsen Korea, The Art of Negotiation, Episode 8 earned a nationwide rating of 8.07 percent — which is a slight increase from the 7.98 percent the Korean drama previously earned for Episode 6.
In Seoul, audiences tuned in in even higher numbers, giving the latest episode of the JTBC drama 8.75 percent of the viewership on Sunday night.
And yes, it was the #1 show in its timeslot. Again.
International viewers comments about The Art of Negotiation after Episode 8
If you ignore the low rating from users of My Drama List (a drama is often deliberately rated low if it isn’t a typical rom-com starring an idol, so the site’s ratings aren’t particularly reliable), many viewers had inciteful and very positive things to say about the drama.
Comments like:
In a past life, my job was to negotiate contracts. The number one goal was to have a win-win for both sides.
Thus, to me – this is a perfect demonstration of the “art of negotiation” because Jun-ho spends the time (or is lucky) to discover what’s important to the other side so he can reach a satisfactory deal.
This strategy was demonstrated over and over again in the first episodes. Episode 7-8 was a bit different – and, in fact, it was Min Jeong who found a way (perhaps inadvertently) to bring about the final positive result.

This show makes me cry every other episode.
I was more touched by the Japanese plot but I was so emotionally invested in the story about his daughter. I knew that the obvious condition had to be the room. When you observe a little, you would know that was the easiest.
I am happy that Ha failed yet again. I hope the private fund loses it all as well.
both comments, and others proving, for people who don’t mind thinking a little when watching a K-drama, The Art of Negotiation is an excellent series.
Meanwhile, over on Viki, where the K-drama is streaming and where its users seem to think a little more, it is still earning an average of 9.6 out of 10 from almost 800 people rating it so far.
The Art of Negotiation stars one of the best Korean casts of this season — Lee Je Hoon, Kim Dae Myung, Sung Dong Il, Jang Hyun Sung, Oh Man Seok, Ahn Hyun Ho, and Cha Kang Yoon.
The K-drama’s next episode will hit on Saturday, April 5th.
