tvN drama The Auditors, Episode 8 grabbed its highest ever rating last night as, yet again, it aired opposite the Olympics 2024.
Proving that, just like with Episode 7, the Olympic Games are no competition to the superb Korean drama at all.
Those ratings for The Auditors, Episode 8, according to Nielsen Korea, were 7.78 percent nationwide, which is a nice jump from its previous episode’s 6.69 percent audience share.
The Korean drama’s Seoul rating was even higher, grabbing a new all-time high rating in that region of 8.16 percent — a big increase from Episode 7’s already strong 6.29 percent earned on Saturday night.
Those ratings also placed the Korean drama in the #1 spot in its time slot across all channels and versus all programs.
The Olympic Games opening ceremonies offends Christians
The Olympic Games, meanwhile, has been mired in controversy as its opening ceremony, which was largely seen to be disrespectful to the planet’s 2.4 billion Christians due to an offensive depiction of The Last Supper, forced the organizers to apologize.
That controversy has caused many would-be viewers to announce they will no longer be watching the Olympics due to a refusal to support the “blasphemy” of the organizers
As for The Auditors, the Korean drama still has four more episodes to air.
Episodes that are likely to only see even higher ratings as even more viewers look for something else to watch instead of the Olympics 2024.
The Auditors stars Shin Ha Kyun, Lee Jung Ha, Jin Goo and Jo Aram.
Its next episode will air on Saturday, August 3rd at 21:20 (KST), and stream internationally on Viki where it is currently rated a very high 9.6 out of 10.
