Of course, there is nothing more awesome about being British this week than the news that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge — Prince William and the former Katherine Middleton — are expecting a baby.
Yes….the couple are pregnant with their first child.
What is even more cool is that, for the first time in British history, it does not matter what sex the baby is.
Why?
Because, whether William and Kate’s baby is a boy or a girl, it will be third in line to the throne. (The British law of succession was changed earlier this year in case the royal couple became pregnant).
Meanwhile, although Kate is currently in hospital suffering from acute morning sickness, she is said to be doing well and is expected to be released in the next few days.
There is no word yet as to when the royal baby’s due date is, but guesses are sometime in May or June of 2013. Awwwww!!
