THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors 2 trailer has idol trainees working hard to be the best

Second season of idol-themed anime premiering in Japan in July

Both the official website and the X account for the upcoming anime THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors Season 2 are showing off an exciting new theatrical trailer.

It informs the girls who are currently training to be idols about the new professional idol unit that has just debuted.

Called Stray Light, the incredibly professional looking unit of idols motivates the trainees to work even harder to become the idols they have always wanted to be, so that one day they can be in the same top position.

The trailer also unveils the anime’s theme song ‘Tsubasa Gravity‘.

Just like Season 1 of the series, THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors Season 2 is due to premiere in theaters across Japan in three parts, beginning on July 5th, 2024.

Its second part will then premiere on August 23th, with the third hitting screens on September 20th.

A television broadcast for Season 2 is also slated for October, 2024.

Meanwhile, the 12-episode The iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors, Season 1 hits streaming services on April 6th.

THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors Season 2 staff

The idol-themed anime is based on the Japanese life simulation video game by Bandai Namco.

It is being directed by Mankyuu (The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague),with Youichi Katou (THE iDOLM@STER Million Live, Aikatsu!) in charge of series composition and scripts, and Ryouhei Fukushi designing the characters.

Polygon Pictures is in charge of anime production.
