The Seven Deadly Sins Grudge of Edinburgh Pt 2 is 4th most-watched non-English film on Netflix – WHY?

How is it possible in this day and age to create an anime this bloody ugly?

I have to admit, as a huge The Seven Deadly Sins anime fan, I didn’t even attempt to watch the just released The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2 film when it came out last week.

After all, the 17 long minutes I watched of Part 1 last year before I turned it off was almost enough to destroy this fabulous franchise for me forever.

Then, when I saw the trailer for the second part, it was obvious the ugly art style and horrendously terrible computer generated animation is back with The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh, Part 2.

Thanks, but no.

The Seven Deadly Sins Grudge of Edinburgh Pt 2 is 4th most-watched non-English film on Netflix

That being said, apparently millions of anime fans are not as discerning as I am when it comes to the anime I will spend my limited time watching.

Not if the fact that The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2 was the fourth most-watched non-English film on Netflix for the the period August 7th to August 13th is anything to go by.

Yep, according to Netflix, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2 was watched for more than 2.8 million hours last week, with 3.1 million views of the film overall.

The film did not, however, hit the Top 10 in any western country, with the second part of the Grudge of Edinburgh project only making it to the Top 10 in the film’s home country of Japan, plus Mauritius, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Martinique, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru.

Ah well, there’s no explaining taste, eh?
