As I expected, the excellent Korean drama The Tale of Lady Ok, Episode 16 ended the series on Sunday night on all-time high ratings.
The series finale grabbed 13.57 percent of the nationwide audience, which was more than 3.0 percent higher than the already very strong 10.20 percent it earned for Episode 15 on Saturday night.
The JTBC drama performed even better with audiences in the nation’s capital, Seoul, where it garnered 14.03 percent last night — which is massively up from the 10.86 percent of the viewership on Saturday.
Both of these ratings helped the Im Ji Yeon-led K-drama end its 16-episode run on excellent average ratings per episode of 8.88 percent nationwide, and a higher 9.34 percent average in Seoul.
International ratings as The Tale of Lady Ok ends
The ratings from international viewers after The Tale of Lady Ok aired its series finale are also still very solid.
Even the often-disgruntled users of My Drama List are currently rating the series a high (for that site) 8.3 out of 10.
Meanwhile, on IMDB, just over 200 of their users are rating The Tale of Lady Ok an 8.0 out of 10.
Not a particularly high rating considering the excellence of the drama but, from users of that site, who often downrate dramas “just because”, it’s a fairly decent result.
The Tale of Lady Ok stars Im Ji Yeon, Choo Young Woo, Yeonwoo and Kim Jae Won.
It premiered on November 30th, 2024 and ended its run on January 26th, 2025.
