The Tale of Lady Ok, Ep 4 grabs highest ever rating as just one episode airs this weekend
The release of new episodes of the JTBC historical drama The Tale of Lady Ok has been intermittent over the last couple of weeks due to the ongoing political problems in South Korea.
That has meant only one episode of the K-drama has released on each of the last two weekends.
However, that has not stopped The Tale of Lady Ok continuing to climb in the ratings, with last night’s episode grabbing the Korean drama’s highest ratings yet.
According to data via Nielsen Korea, The Tale of Lady Ok, Episode 4 aired on Sunday night to 8.49 percent of the viewership — up from last Sunday’s 7.78 percent, and also placing the drama in first place in its time slot.
Considering the drama kicked off its run on November 30th with 4.20 percent of the audience, that also means it has doubled its viewership in just three episodes.
The Tale of Lady Ok ratings in Seoul
The JTBC drama also performed similarly with viewers in Seoul, earning an even higher 8.89 percent of the audience share — up from last week’s 8.08 percent in the region.
And, again, almost double the ratings of its first episode (4.69 percent).
With the originally scheduled two episodes of The Tale of Lady Ok airing next weekend then, it may mean we will see continuing rising ratings as the Korean drama continues to air.
The Tale of Lady Ok stars Im Ji Yeon, Choo Young Woo, Yeonwoo and Kim Jae Won.
Barring any more political shenanigans from the South Korean government, its next episode will air on Saturday, December 21st.
