The first three volumes of the hilarious romantic comedy manga series Tomo-chan is a Girl! are now out in an Omnibus Edition via Seven Seas Entertainment.
Previously, the Fumita Yanagida-written and illustrated manga has only been available in individual volumes but, if you want a true collector’s edition, the Tomo-chan is a Girl! Omnibus Edition (Volumes 1-3) is definitely the thing to pick up.
Come on, don’t omnibus releases of your favorite manga just look so damned cool on a shelf?
Full details for the Tomo-chan is a Girl! Omnibus Edition (Vol 1-3)
The first three volumes of the rom-com manga were published in English via Seven Seas between September, 2018 and March, 2019.
Since then, Seven Seas has published all eight volumes of the series, with the last and final one coming out in September, 2020.
And sure, an omnibus release can be just a money grab from any publisher who publishes them as they try to get as much money from a manga license as they can.
But, with fans all over the world loving these types of publications, they usually end up being a winner for the publisher anyway.
And for the consumer, who often gets a cooler volume at great price.
Be aware, though, if you are an omnibus release collector, Seven Seas Entertainment’s Tomo-chan is a Girl! Omnibus Edition (Volumes 1-3) does not feature a completely unique cover (it’s similar to Volume 1), and it is not available as a hardback, like many omnibus releases often turn out to be.
Instead, it is the first three volumes of the manga published in a thicker paperback edition.
Price-wise, though, it turns out Tomo-chan is a Girl! Omnibus Edition (Volumes 1-3 is a fabulous deal as, instead of paying $38.97 for the first three individual volumes of the manga, you get all three volumes in one book for just $24.99.
That’s a helluva steal, eh?
You can check out the information for the new omnibus release, which will obviously be followed up by the other five volumes in the manga in omnibus form as well, via Seven Seas.
You can order the new edition via the publisher as of today as well.
And, if you still have not watched the anime series based on the Tomo-chan is a Girl! manga series, you can do that on Crunchyroll (it’s superb, by the way!)
