With August 16th, and the premiere of the Touken Ranbu Kai –Douden Chikashi Samuraira Umonora anime film in Japan right around the corner, the production committee has just released the film’s latest character video via its official X account.
This time, it is Yamanbagiri Kunihiro’s character video, which follows on from those of Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, Tsurumaru Kuninaga, and Heshikiri Hasebe that were released earlier in the week.
Yamanbagiri Kunihiro’s character video, however, is a little different as, instead of a sword brimming with self-confidence, the uchigatana (Japanese sword) has a deep-rooted inferiority complex about being a replica of a sword and not an authentic sword.
This can be seen in the opening scene of the video as Yamanabagiri sits desolately on the floor of the citadel.
But, as Yamanbagiri Kunihiro’s character video continues, we see that even his lack of self-confidence doesn’t stop him from being incredibly powerful in a fight.
No wonder he was made Captain of the First Unit, eh?
