TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy 3 confirmed with visual of Makoto, Tomoe, Mio and Shiki and a celebratory sake barrel

Right as the second season of the hit isekai anime TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy ended its 25-episode run yesterday, the production committee announced a third season is already in the works via the anime’s official X account.

Along with the announcement, a celebratory TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy, Season 3 visual was released showing Makoto, Tomoe, Mio and Shiki breaking into a celebratory barrel of sake.

Sadly for Makoto, he can’t yet imbibe, as he is still underage.

That same barrel of sake, of course, was featured in the final episode of Season 2 yesterday when Makoto kicks off a celebration thanking the residents of his demi-plane for saving the academy city.

No further information about TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy, Season 3 has been released as yet, but we will keep you updated here at Anime Powered as soon as more details come out.

The TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy anime is based on the light novel series written by Kei Azumi and illustrated by Mitsuaki Matsumoto.

The novels are digitally published in English via Hanashi Media, who has this to say about its plot:

Makoto Misumi was an average, everyday high schooler, who found himself shipped off to another world at his parents’ whims. Upon arrival, however, he’s insulted by the Goddess for being too ugly and thrown into a desolate wasteland. He frantically searches for human warmth and connection, but can find nothing but monsters and inhuman settlers.

When he finally meets companions he can trust, they turn out to be a pair of powerful perverts in a former dragon and a former giant spider! His high-octane, incredibly misfortunate trek through this foreign world has only just begun!

The first two seasons were directed by Shinji Ishihira (Sasaki and Miyano), with series composition from Kenta Ihara (Handyman Saitou in Another World), while Yukie Suzuki (Fight League: Gear Gadget Generators) was in charge of character designs.

Studio C2C was in charge of anime production for Season 1, with J.C. Staff taking over for Season 2.

While you wait for more information about Season 3, you can watch the first two seasons of TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy on Crunchyroll.
