Vienna Shopping and Design on VIENNA/NOW — Veritable Vienna

After 13 years living in Bangkok, Thailand, my plan is to move to Vienna, Austria next year.

With that in mind, you are going to see Leo Sigh’s focus changing just a little bit over the next few months, to showcase a few more Austrian musicians and celebrities.

In preparation for that, I am sharing a video from Wien Tourismus, or the Vienna Tourist Board, who recently started a new series of videos, ‘VIENNA/NOW’, highlighting all the amazing and cool things you can do and see in Vienna.

The latest video in the VIENNA/NOW series is about shopping and design. It starts off at Blickfang 2015, held in Vienna at the end of October.

Blickfang is an international design fair held in cities all over Europe to showcase fashion, furniture, jewelry and accessories and, if you’re looking for some of the most innovative, highest quality and most beautiful pieces, this was the place to check out.

The host, British journalist Chris Cummins, then moves to theĀ Spittelberg, an area of Vienna located in the seventh district that’s full of historical buildings, boutiques, design shops, lovely restaurants and cafes.

And I have to admit, on my trip to Vienna last month, the Spittelberg area was one of my favorite places in the city, particularly for its many quirky little shops, gorgeous high-end boutiques and unusual things to buy.

For a quick yet extremely interesting look at just some of the fabulous shopping and design Vienna has to offer watch the latest VIENNA/NOW in the video below.

And, of course, if you missed the Vienna Tourist Board’s lovely ‘My Perfect Day in Vienna‘ with Austrian singer Conchita Wurst, you’ll find that one here.
