Warframe releasing on Nintendo Switch November 20th and port should be excellent

Warframe, one of the most popular free-to-play games on PC, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 20th.

Five years since the open beta kicked off, the co-operative, third person shooter now has more than 38 million players on all its other platforms. Now it looks like it could just be adding a few million more with the upcoming Warframe Nintendo Switch release.

The history of Warframe has also been interesting as, when it was first released, it was given mediocre reviews by many critics.

But developer Digital Extremes listened to Warframe players and kept improving the initial release, plus publishing expansions to add more content to the game.

That is why Warframe now has a huge fan base, and the game itself has become the most popular game Digital Extremes has ever produced.

The Switch version of Warframe is being developed by Panic Button, the indie developer also responsible for the Switch ports of Doom, Doom Eternal,  and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. That means chances are the Switch port of the game should be very well done too.

If you haven’t played Warframe yet, but own a Nintendo Switch, you may want to get some gaming time in on the PC, PS4 or Xbox One versions before the Switch port hits. Especially as the game is hella fun to play, and the Warframe community is incredibly welcoming.
