One thing I love about watching The Late Late Show with James Corden is just how many non-American bands and singers he has on his show. Artists that might not get that much exposure if he didn’t invite them. Artists like New Zealand pop duo Broods, who appeared on James Corden last night (Wednesday, May 18th, 2016) to perform their new single ‘Free‘. An industrial pop song with a live Broods performance that was seductive and cool.
So who are Broods? The duo is a brother and sister act comprising Georgia and Caleb Nott. Georgia is the duo’s lead singer and Caleb plays the instruments and provides the backing vocals.
Broods has been around since 2010, but it’s only in the last two or three years that they have started to make more of a name for themselves outside their native New Zealand.
Broods second album is due for release on June 24th. Called Conscious, this album will also include collaborations with Swedish singer Tove Lo and fellow New Zealander Lorde. You can currently pre-order it on Amazon.
‘Free‘ is the first single from Conscious. Watch Broods perform it on James Corden in the video below.
