Watch Divinity: Original Sin 2 PS 4 trailer — the game is different than the PC version

The Divinity: Original Sin 2 PlayStation 4 release date trailer has just gone up on YouTube and, if you haven’t seen it yet, do watch it as the game is gorgeous. It is also a game that, on PC, was universally acclaimed by critics and fans alike as one of the best RPGs ever created, so you already know the PS4 version is going to be brilliant too.

Bandai Namco will be releasing Divinity: Original Sin 2 on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 31st, but the game is going to be quite a bit different on both platforms than it was on the PC.

That is because they will be releasing what they are calling Divinity: Original Sin 2 — Definitive Edition, and it is going to be a game with additions like a new difficulty for Story Mode, a journal system, a party inventory system, an updated PvP area and, for those who love a good tutorial, a new tutorial system. The AI system has also been re-balanced.

If that wasn’t enough, developer Larian Studios has also decided the third chapter wasn’t quite good enough in the original PC game, so that has been extensively rewritten as well. New quests are included to help the storyline flow better, and new NPCs and dialogue will also be introduced.

In other words, if you loved Divinity: Original Sin 2 on PC and you own a PS4, you might just want to buy it again as the experience is going to be quite a bit different.

Now watch the Divinity: Original Sin 2 PlayStation 4 release date trailer in the video below, and tell me that is not one helluva beautiful game!

The game itself is already available for pre-order, with the bonus of the Sir Lora DLC your reward if you do.
