Alternative rock band Garbage appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night where they performed ‘Push It‘ and ‘Empty‘ — one a classic Garbage track, and the other (‘Empty‘) the first single from their sixth studio album Strange Little Birds.
And, as is usual with lead singer Shirley Manson and the band, their performance was stellar. Not bad for a band that has been around since 1993.
The band’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! was in addition to their numerous performances around the US in the next couple of months. Performances that include dates in Detroit, Indianapolis, Chicago, Baltimore, New York and Nashville. Nineteen shows in all.
Check out upcoming concert dates on the Garbage website.
As for Strange Little Birds, it was released on June 10th. You can currently pick it up on one of the major digital music sites.
Meanwhile, watch the band’s performance on Kimmel last night. They are rocking.
Edited: Sadly, Kimmel has deleted the video of the performance from his website, which is why we do not showcase any performances from his show here on Leo Sigh anymore, as they tend to disappear after just a few weeks.
Instead, I have substituted a similarly superb performance Garbage gave of ‘Push It’ at L.A.’s Greek Theatre. Watch it below.
