Miley Cyrus was on The Ellen Show last week where she sang a gorgeous live version of ‘Hands of Love‘. She was accompanied on piano by Linda Perry.
The song was written by Cyrus and Linda Perry for the new Julianne Moore/Ellen Page movie ‘Freeheld‘. A drama about a lesbian police lieutenant, Laurel Hester, and her domestic partner, Stacie, who fight to secure Hester’s pension benefits for Stacie after Hester is diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The movie is based on an award-winning documentary released in 2007.
And, to me, it’s lovely that Miley constantly supports gay issues so much. But what’s even more admirable is this incredible performance, as it is so emotionally raw and Cyrus’ voice is so pure throughout, it’s one of the best live performances she’s given in a long time.
Watch Miley Cyrus sing ‘Hands of Love‘ on Ellen in the video below. Gorgeous, isn’t it?
