Netflix was so successful with its series ‘Making A Murderer‘, the streaming service has stayed in the business of producing true crime documentaries with its latest offering, the eight-episode documentary series ‘Captive‘.
‘Captive‘ looks at real life hostage situations around the world, and talks to former hostages, their family members, hostage negotiators, government representatives and even the kidnappers themselves. The series has been put together by producer Simon Chinn (‘Man on Wire’, ‘Searching For Sugar Man’) and executive producer Doug Liman (‘The Bourne Identity‘).
‘Captive‘ will have its world premiere at DOC NYC tomorrow night (November 11th). It will then arrive on Netflix for international viewing on December 9th.
