The American heavy metal band Slipknot performed their first concert since 2016 last night when they showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live. They also gave their single ‘Unsainted‘ its live debut, and played a web exclusive of their non-album single ‘All Out Life‘.
The Kimmel performance was in part to promote their upcoming sixth studio album We Are Not Your Kind, as well as ‘Untainted‘, which was just released on Thursday.
Fans too were blown away by the appearance of the iconic heavy metal band, especially as lead vocalist Corey Taylor has just had knee surgery, yet was bopping around the stage like a teenager.
The Slipknot performance was also the first one in 20 years without percussionist Chris Fehn, who was fired from the band after he filed a lawsuit against them claiming they had not paid him what he was owed.
Slipknot’s We Are Not Your Kind album will be released on August 9th. The band will kick off a 29-city North American tour in support of the album on July 26th. Keep an eye on the band’s website for concert dates.
Until then, watch Slipknot perform both ‘All Out Life‘ and ‘Unsainted‘ in the Jimmy Kimmel Live videos below. Now that’s a high energy show.
