Smurfs: The Lost Village got its first movie trailer yesterday. Although it’s a very short teaser trailer that doesn’t tell us anything more than Demi Lovato’s voice sounds amazing, and the animation looks beautiful.
The animated movie will be released on April 17, 2017. It stars the voices of Demi Lovato, Mandy Patinkin, and Jack McBrayer and, even from this short trailer, it definitely looks better than the first two Smurf movies.
After all, the new one is completely computer animated, with none of the weird mix of CGI and live action the first two movies unfortunately had.
In Smurfs: The Lost Village, the evil wizard Gargamel is back, he has created creatures called the Naughties in an attempt to steal the Smurf’s magical essence and, when that doesn’t work, he kidnaps Smurfette to get a secret spell.
Watch the first teaser trailer for Smurfs: The Lost Village below. Like I said, not much info but it looks like it’s going to be fun.
