Although BBC Two says The Fall series 2 is coming soon, at least in the title of their new The Fall trailer on YouTube, it is actually The Fall series 3 that will be starting to air on BBC Two September 29th.
Series 3 of the hit crime drama picks up where series 2 left off. With serial killer Paul Spector and Gibson’s lover, DS Tom Anderson, seriously injured after being gunned down by gangland thug James Tyler.
The Fall series 3 sees the return of stars Gillian Anderson as Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson, and Jamie Dornan as serial killer Paul Spector too, but will also have new cast members that include Ruth Bradley, Richard Coyle, Aisling Bea, Krister Henriksson and Aidan McArdle.
And, while this is said to be the last series for Jamie Dornan, Gillian Anderson has said she would like to return in a series four. Something writer Allan Cubitt has said he definitely has ideas for.
I for one would welcome a series 4, as Anderson is brilliant in it.
