Park Hyung Sik would be ambitious with 2 trillion won
At a publicity event for the just premiered SBS drama Buried Hearts yesterday, star of the K-drama, Park Hyung Sik, was asked what he would do with 2 trillion won if he had it.
2 trillion won, of course, is the amount of money his character Seo Dong Ju takes when he hacks into a political slush fund in the new revenge drama.
As you might expect, Park Hyung Sik was quite ambitious with his response, although he did joke first, “How many pairs of shoes could that buy?”
He went on to say, though, that he would “Share 2 trillion won with everyone. I would use it for places in need and for good causes”.
Huh Joon Ho didn’t used to know how to spend money
In response, his co-star Huh Joon Ho, who plays villain Yeom Jang Seon in Buried Hearts, commented how, when he only used to earn 1 million won for doing theater, after his salary increased to 10 million when he got into TV, he didn’t know what to do with that much money.
“Since then, though”, he added, “my mindset has changed, and now my impetus would be to share and spend it with everyone”.
Lee Hae Young, however, was more interested in taking care of the dog he has been raising for a year.
“I’d like to buy a house with a yard where I can play with my dog. I think around 35 pyeong (approximately 115 square meters) would be big enough. I would then donate the rest of the money”.
Back to Park Hyung Sik, though, and he was having second thoughts, as he suddenly remembered how nice it was when he was previously on a yacht.
So much so, “owning a yacht and being able to be on it with the cast and crew of Buried Hearts while watching the sunset would be nice too:, he said.
Buried Hearts kicks off with excellent ratings
The publicity event was held at SBS Hall in Seoul yesterday, hours before Buried Hearts premiered on the SBS network in South Korea, and also included director Jin Chang Gyu (Military Prosecutor Doberman) and lead actress Hong Hwa Yeon.
The first episode of the drama was very well-received by its audience on Friday night, earning even higher ratings than its predecessor Love Scout in the same time slot.
