What’s The Prisoner of Beauty’s ending theme song? Who sings it, and what are its English lyrics?
The perfection that is The Prisoner of Beauty
Out of all the C-dramas I have watched over the last few years, and there have been hundreds, the one that grabbed me the most out of absolutely all of them is the recently completed The Prisoner of Beauty.
Everything about that Chinese drama is perfect.
The performances by leads Song Zu Er and Liu Yuning, their palpable and really sweet chemistry, the secondary couple’s romance, the beautifully written plot, the way Qiao Man and Wei Shao’s “subordinates” are actually their friends, the gorgeous cinematography, costumes and sets and, of course, The Prisoner of Beauty soundtrack.
That soundtrack includes The Prisoner of Beauty‘s ending theme song.
A track that is the standout piece of music for me from the entire series, and for many others. Especially as it is sung by one of the C-drama’s lead actors.

What is The Prisoner of Beauty‘s ending theme song and who sings it?
The ending theme for The Prisoner of Beauty is titled ‘Beacon Moon‘ (烽月 or Feng Yue), and is sung by male lead Liu Yuning.
An actor/singer and lead singer of Modern Brothers who tends to perform many of the theme songs used for the dramas he appears in.
The song’s lyrics are written by Zhao Subing, with music composed by Jiang Haiwei and Lu Quanrui.

And its lyrics are utterly perfect for The Prisoner of Beauty‘s plot, and for the love story between Qiao Man and Wei Shao — enemies who fall in love and promise to be loyal to each other, while swearing to be together for the rest of their lives.
The English translation for the track’s lyrics go something like this:
(Verse 1)
Moonlight stretches like deep seas, wordless yet apart—
Once, a breath could ignite dreams, now only sighs remain.
Brushing past my fingertips, it plucks the heart’s hidden strings,
Like a long-lost love, veiled in yearning unspoken.
(Verse 2)
At love’s end, nothing is asked—yet all is longing.
Through dawns and dusks, this mortal world denies perfection.
In war’s fleeting embraces, tenderness etches its mark,
A single glance, a lifetime’s imprint.
(Chorus)
I’d cross mountains and seas to meet you in the wind and moon,
Awaiting white-haired days, still bright as our first gaze.
Jiangnan’s endless rain lingers on your brow,
Drenching memories held close.
I’d sever fate itself to guard your laughter’s light,
Even if blizzards rage behind.
Through life’s turbulence, this journey is for you—
No regret in this lifetime.
(Bridge)
At love’s end, nothing is asked—yet all is longing.
Through dawns and dusks, this mortal world denies perfection.
In war’s fleeting embraces, tenderness etches its mark…
