For Friday’s Best Anime Songs choice, I have to admit I have a soft spot for the When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace opening song ‘Overlappers‘, by Qverktett:II (a group made up of cast members Haruka Yamazaki, Saori Hayami, Risa Taneda, and Nanami Yamashita who voiced Haruka Yamazaki, Saori Hayami, Risa Taneda, and Nanami Yamashita).
The track was composed by Junpei Fujita, with lyrics by Aki Hata, and it is just such a fun song. A perfect fit for the series.
In fact, the supernatural, moe, slice of life anime series was one of the best to come out of 2014, with the only disappointment that it hasn’t as yet ended up with a second season.
Listen to ‘Overlappers‘, the When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace opening song in the video below, and watch the intro animation.
