Thrilled to see the superb mystery thriller K-drama When the Phone Rings, Episode 3 earning a big ratings increase last night, thus grabbing its highest ratings so far.

Via data from Nielsen Korea last night, we now know When the Phone Rings, Episode 3 earned 6.0 percent of the audience share — which is a big increase from Episode 2’s rating of 4.7 percent.

That ratings increase was also evident from audiences in Seoul, as the ongoing Korean drama grabbed 5.6 percent in that region — up from the 4.8 percent it earned for its previous episode.

Considering the MBC series is one of the most well-written, best-acted, most intriguing K-dramas of this season so far, and with leads who have amazing chemistry, these ratings increases are very well deserved.

When the Phone Rings still kicking ass internationally too

Outside South Korea, the ratings and international attention on When the Phone Rings are also immense.

The K-drama is currently earning a massive 8.8 out of 10 on My Drama List — a website that, if a drama earns over 8.2 percent, that is a huge endorsement of the show by users of the website.

The Korean drama is also streaming on Netflix, where it hit high up their Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart on Tuesday with only two episodes released.

Yep, this one is increasingly looking like it will be a huge success.

When the Phone Rings stars Yoo Yeon Seok, Chae Soo Bin, Heo Nam Joon, and Jang Gyu Ri.

It airs every Friday and Saturday night on MBC in Korea.

A heads up though, the K-drama’s episodes originally scheduled for December 14th and 20th will air on future dates. Mark your calendars accordingly.
