When will Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 multiplayer update release?
You’re going to be disappointed if you grabbed Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 today and expected it to come with a multiplayer option, because it doesn’t have one.
That’s because CI Games says they concentrated on the single player experience first, as they put it — “to provide the best possible single player experience in our most ambitious game to date.”
Don’t get too depressed just yet, though. A Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 multiplayer update will be released, but not until sometime in the third quarter of 2017.
But is the single player mode as good as it can be?
Sadly, though, it doesn’t sound like the single player game is completely finished either, as gamers are already reporting really really long load times.
As Eurogamer reported yesterday, three to five minutes for the game to load is normal. Yikes!
Eurogamer obviously did get the attention of the devs, though, as they responded to the article not long after saying,
“We are aware of the problem with long initial loading times, but thanks to this decision we were able to shorten any loading times during missions, respawns, and fast travel to a minimum:
- fast travel 4-15s
- load last checkpoint (depend on situation) 15-30s
- Restart mission 25s
“Ultimately we feel like this inconvenience is rewarded with a comfortable experience once the game is loaded.”
What they mean by that is, because the initial game takes a long time to load, it does speed up the load times once you are actually in-game, although up to 30 seconds to load your last checkpoint is still quite slow.
Meanwhile, Eurogamer released a tongue-in-cheek video giving you suggestions on what else you can do while that five minutes Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 load time is slowly ticking by, including playing a full game of Mario Kart and catching pokemon in Pokemon GO.
