While rumours have been flying around that Netflix will be streaming every Disney movie ever made starting in the fall, of course, that is not remotely true. After all, licensing can be a bitch, even when it comes to a licensing deal with a company that has had movies on Netflix for quite a while now.
That being said, there is good news when it comes to Disney movies on Netflix as, according to Time magazine, the streaming service now has exclusive rights for all of Disney’s film library and will eventually be getting all the Disney movies ever made. Just not right away.
So which Disney movies will be showing up on Netflix in the fall? Your guess is as good as mine. But here are some of the ones we could see:
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Fantasia
Pinocchio
Dumbo
Bambi
Cinderella
Treasure Island
Alice in Wonderland
Peter Pan
The Sword and the Rose
Lady and the Tramp
20,000 Leagues Under The Sea
Old Yeller
Pollyanna
Mary Poppins
That Darn Cat!
Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Honey, I Blew Up The Kid
Hocus Pocus
Beauty and the Beast
The Rocketeer
Hannah Montana: The Movie
Saving Mr. Banks
Frozen
Into The Woods
and literally hundreds more.
The Netflix-Disney deal also includes all the movies from Marvel, Pixar and Lucasfilm as well. Just not right away.
Looks like Netflix is really going to bat for its customers when it comes to providing them with the best streaming video service around. Thanks, guys!
Meanwhile, check out some of the other movies that will be available this summer on Netflix in the video below. It’s going to be a good one.
