Why is Good Partner Ep 6 not airing on July 27th? Here’s what to watch instead

Unfortunately for fans of the superb Korean legal-themed drama Good Partner, SBS has decided to delay the airing of Episode 6 of the drama until August 16th.

This is due to SBS being the South Korean official Olympic Games 2024 network. The games begin in Paris on July 25th and run through August 10th.

The South Korean broadcaster will, however, be airing Good Partner, Episode 5 on its originally scheduled night of July 26th. So there is one more episode to look forward to before the break.

That, of course, means once Good Partner resumes broadcasting, it will run on its originally scheduled Friday and Saturday nights through September 20th, due to the three week hiatus.

Sadly, the hiatus might also mean the superbly rated K-drama may lose some of its audience once it resumes, as some viewers will likely move onto other dramas airing on other channels or streaming platforms.

What to watch in place of Good Partner during the Olympics

For Asian drama lovers who are not interested in the Olympic Games (count me in with you!), there are still several ongoing dramas to watch.

tvN has just kicked off its latest drama Serendipity’s Embrace, which airs every Monday and Tuesday evening for four weeks, while the highly-rated The Auditors airs on the same network every Saturday and Sunday evening through August 11th.

JTBC is airing My Sweet Mobster on Wednesday and Thursday nights through August 1st, and also airing Miss Night and Day every Saturday and Sunday through August 4th.

The long-running and very popular weekend drama Beauty and Mr. Romantic is also still airing on KBS2 every Saturday and Sunday through September 8th.

On cable, all eight episodes of Sweet Home 3 have just been released on Netflix, and the Chinese dramas The Princess Royal and The Double are ongoing on the same platform, with new episodes releasing every Thursday.

And, of course, there are thousands of other Korean, Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Taiwanese dramas to catch up on at Viki, Netflix and KOKOWA.
