Will Tom Hiddleston Be The Next James Bond? Jimmy Kimmel is Curious (Video)

Tom Hiddleston on James Bond with Jimmy Kimmel Live

The fabulous British actor Tom Hiddleston showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week where, after a quick discussion about the American presidential election and Hiddleston then slamming Nigel Farage, Britain’s answer to Donald Trump, the topic quickly turned to James Bond.

Hiddleston was asked if he would consider being the next James Bond, after the success of his BBC TV series ‘The Night Manager — a show that deals with espionage.

Hiddleston laughed and said, “Honestly, I play a British spy in ‘The Night Manager‘, so people have made the link. But…I mean, as someone who grew up with Sean Connery and Roger Moore, when you mention it, there’s a part of me that goes “Really, are you kidding?”

The British actor then went on to explain who is going to be the next James Bond is “one of the nation’s favorite pub conversations”. But he refused to say whether or not he had ever entertained the idea of being Bond himself.

In film, of course, Tom Hiddleston is mainly known for playing the character of Loki, the villain in the Marvel movies Thor, The Avengers and Thor: The Dark World. He has also played the vampire, Adam, in Only Lovers Left Alive, and Sir Thomas Sharpe in the gothic horror Crimson Peak. So it might be interesting to see him in a more clean-cut role as James Bond, the world’s most famous spy.
