World of Immortals Ep 22 stills out as final 5 episodes now on WeTV but only for Extra payment

Nine stills from the Chinese donghua World of Immortals, Episode 22 have been released via the Qingxiang Culture Weibo account earlier today.

Just like the others, those World of Immortals, Episode 22 stills give a quick look into the events of the Chinese anime’s latest episode, as it nears even closer to its Season 1 end (just 4 more episodes left to air).

The stills feature protagonist Xiao Chen learning it will be difficult, if not impossible, for him to return back home to the Nine Provinces as the Heavenly Gate can no longer be opened.

We also see him remembering Ruo Shui the love of his life still back home, as well as properly meeting the goddess Lan Nuo at the Barbarian Village.

Meanwhile, the adorable Keke is still at Xiao Chen’s side, and the mysterious and very powerful being that escaped from the ice coffin makes another appearance.

Qingxiang Culture commented about the newest World of Immortals stills:

Episode 22 of World of Immortals is now airing!
First encounter with the Barbarian Tribe, finally meeting the Goddess Lan Nuo!
Unable to return to the Nine Provinces, Xiao Chen is heartbroken…
The Devil appears, the Dragon King’s Blood Array is deployed to fend off the enemy!

Animated by Qingxiang Culture Studios, and produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures, while World of Immortals, Episode 22 is now available to watch for VIP subscribers of WeTV, Episodes 23 through Episode 26 have also been released at the same time.

In true Tencent fashion, however, (you know, a bit money-grubbing), the final four episodes are only currently available via Express payment on WeTV.

They will release for VIPs and everyone else in the next week or two. Thanks, but I am more than happy to wait.

Update: Episode 23’s stills are also now out, and the episode itself is finally available for VIP subscribers via WeTV. A huge number of screenshots from the season finale of World of Immortals are also now out.
