Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Expansion Pass available now with new rare blades, characters, modes and more

The action role-playing game Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Expansion Pass is now available and, in celebration, Nintendo has released a new trailer to promote the new content.

After all, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, even without the expansion pack, is already developer Monolith Soft’s best selling game of all time, so it is no wonder they are adding so much cool new content to the popular game.

The stand-alone Expansion Pass content includes a prequel story about the fall of Torna to add to what we already know about the original storyline of the game, as well as new rare blades, characters, a battle challenge mode and added features like custom difficulty settings.

It is also just the first in a series of upcoming downloadable content Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be getting, as story-based Torna — The Golden Country DLC is also due for release on September 14th.

And, if that isn’t cool enough, Torna — The Golden Country will also get a physical version, which will be available just a week after the digital content releases.

In other words, you might want to grab the Expansion Pass now, so you don’t get bogged down with a slew of new content all at the same time.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was released in December, 2017 and has sold well over a million copies so far. Pretty amazing to say the game is only available on the Nintendo Switch.
