Sweet Home 3 hits Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart 3 days after premiere
The Korean apocalyptic horror series Sweet Home 3 was released on Netflix on July 19th, and quickly climbed the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart.
So fast was its rise, Sweet Home, Season 3 made it onto the chart just three days after it premiered on the streaming platform, while competing against other non-English language TV shows that have been on the site for much longer.
According to the data from Netflix, Sweet Home 3 made it to #5 on the Top 10 for the period July 15th to July 21st.
That place was due to the Korean TV show having been watched 2.5 million times for a total number of hours viewed of 17.5 million between July 19th and July 21st.
In other words, when new data is released next week, and the series has been available for longer than three days, it will likely be even higher up the same chart.
The Korean drama was in the Top 10 in 23 countries, including much of Asia, Nigeria in Africa, and Bolivia, Dominica Republic, Honduras, Peru and several other South American countries.
Sweet Home 3 is the final season of the series, with Netflix succinctly describing its plot like this:
The line between monster and human blurs with each passing moment and humanity grapples with the emergency of neo-humans in a world on the brink of annihilation, marking the climax of the monsterization saga.
The third season of the series stars Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Do Hyun, Lee Si Young, and Go Min Si.
It was again directed by Lee Eung Bok.
All eight episodes are now streaming on Netflix along with its first two seasons.
