After the third episode of the ongoing Korean drama Dog Knows Everything aired to a fall in its audience share on Wednesday night, it was nice to see Dog Knows Everything, Episode 4 earn a slight ratings increase last night.

Not a huge one.

But it was enough that the KBS2 drama is now heading back towards the all-time high it earned for Episode 1.

That ratings increase, according to the latest data via Nielsen Korea, was a nationwide viewership of 3.7 percent – up from its previous episode’s all-time low of 3.5 percent, and only 0.5 percent away from its all-time high (4.2 percent for Episode 1).

The Korean drama earned a similar viewership increase in Seoul — jumping from Wednesday night’s 3.2 percent to last night’s 3.4 percent.

In other words, solid ratings in both regions, and proof that the veteran actor-led drama still has a very strong fan base.

Dog Knows Everything cast

Dog Knows Everything stars the veteran cast of Lee Soon Jae (who, interestingly, plays himself), Kim Yong Gun, Ye Soo Jung, Im Chae Moo and Song Ok Sook.

All actors who are 64 years old or over, with Song Ok Sook being the youngest at age 64 and Lee Soon Jae, the leader, at the wonderful age of 89.

The 12-episode Kdrama’s next episode will air on October 9th on KBS2, with Viki streaming every episode for some international viewers and KOCOWA filling in the gap for others.

Look forward to it. I know I am, as what can beat this superb cast and Sophie, that adorable dog!
