There is a new and adorable Once Upon a Witch’s Death visual out today titled ‘Otherworld Festival’, and featuring protagonist Meg Raspberry and her friend and genius witch Sophie Hayter at a magic festival.
Sophie is about to bite into the baguette of bread she is holding, while Meg looks on as if she is desperate to eat it too.
The visual was also released to help announce that Hina Youmiya (Yuki in Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary) will be voicing Sophie.
Youmiya joins the already-named Yoshino Aoyama who plays Meg, Yoshiko Sakakibara who is Meg’s teacher Faust, Rumi Ookubo as Fine Cavendish, Aina Suzuki who is voicing Shirofukurou aka ‘Snowy Owl’, and Miharu Hanai as Carbuncle.
The Once Upon a Witch’s Death anime adaptation was first announced back in June, with a trailer, character art for Meg and Faust, and another cute visual.
What is the Once Upon a Witch’s Death plot?
The fantasy anime follows 17-year-old witch Meg Raspberry, who has just found out she only has a year left to live. Unless she is able to complete a task that, on the face of it, looks impossible.
But Meg, being the cheery, friendly, nice girl she is won’t be giving up. And that leads her to a year of meeting some of the most interesting people, while still working towards saving her own life.
